"It was an honor to be recognized
by NCI as a young leader. This award helps
provide recognition and credibility for younger
leaders who are striving everyday to make
a difference in North County," said Diana
Gulotta, Assistant Superintendent for Communications
at Hazelwood School District. Diana was one
of North County Inc.'s 30 Leaders in their
30s in 2007, but more importantly, she is
one of North County's amazing young professionals,
who through their work and volunteerism are
helping shape our quality of life.
Due to the exciting success
of last year's efforts to identify and recognize
the community's newest generation of leaders
the NCI Salutes 30 Leaders in Their 30s initiative
has returned. NCI and our campaign partners,
the North County Suburban Journals and News
20, are seeking nominees for leaders in their
thirties who are making a significant positive
impact on North County through their profession
and/or community involvement.
We encourage our businesses,
civic, community organizations and residents
to nominate someone they know for this honor.
Consider nominating an outstanding professional
who is excelling at your company, a committed
volunteer who is using their leadership skills
for the betterment of a civic or charity organization,
a municipal employee who through proactive
involvement is helping create a more livable
community or an entrepreneur who has become
successful and is giving back to their service
area. Help NCI identify and recognize these
young leaders by nominating them before July
18, 2008.
Those leaders chosen will be
featured in the North County Journal's lifestyle
section in a special article on our 30 Leaders,
in a special television program on News 20,
and receive recognition at a luncheon given
in their honor on Sept. 25, 2008. To nominate
