| North County is
home to eight accredited public school districts.
The national and state recognition that area
schools have received for excellence demonstrates
the strength of the educational offering in
North County. |
|
|
|
Twelve area schools
have received the prestigious Blue Ribbon
School designation by the U.S. Department
of Education while twelve schools have been
named Gold Star schools by the Missouri
Department of Education. |
| Three North County
School Districts, Ferguson-Florissant, Hazelwood
and Pattonville have earned the state's Distinction
in Performance Award. This is the state's
highest achievement award. And, several North
County school districts consistently have been
named "What Parents Want" Schools by
School/Match, an organization that helps relocating
parents find new schools. |
|
|
|
Whatever kind of education
you or your family are looking for, you'll
find the very best the county has to offer
right here in North County. The area's award-winning
teachers emphasize education and character
in the classroom.
|
| School Districts
encourage parental and family involvement. Parents
and teachers work together to give our kids
a safe and healthy environment to learn and
grow. Whether families are lifelong residents,
or relocated to the area, they know they can
count on a quality education for their children.
|

|
North County schools
have a national reputation as innovative leaders.
North County schools equip students with the
latest high-tech and computer skills preparing
them for the ever changing job market. Students
get to work and learn hands on, gaining important
real life experience. |
| Even before reaching
the school doors, infants through pre-kindergarten
children benefit from North County Early Education
programs. Early Education provides age-appropriate
learning opportunities for students to advance
learning skills and development. |

High School. The area also offers Lutheran
North High School, a Blue Ribbon recipient
school and Incarnate
Word Academy, a Catholic, college-prep
school for girls. 100% of their graduates go
onto college. Many North County churches also
offer faith-based educational opportunities
for elementary age students. |
| North County high
school graduates have to look no further than
their own back yard for exceptional post-secondary
education. North County has excellent colleges,
universities and technical schools. |
With more than
15,000 students, the University
of Missouri-St. Louis, founded in

in the St. Louis region. The university offers
more than 90 undergraduate, graduate and professional
