North County Healthcare

North St. Louis County and the St. Louis Region more broadly, is home to several innovative and large healthcare providers. Two of the main health care providers located in North St. Louis County is SSM Health DePaul Hospital and BJC Christian Hospital.

Recently, Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals generously awarded North County Incorporated with a $100,000 grant to help fund the Community Health Access Program through Christian Hospital and SSM Health DePaul Hospital. This program is geared towards helping connect the at-risk community with the healthcare services they need to improve the quality of life and health of residents. SSM DePaul Health Center

SSMDePaulSSM DePaul Health Center is a 476-bed, full-service Catholic hospital and a member of SSM Health Care- St. Louis, founded by the Franciscan Sisters of Mary. Opened in 1828, SSM DePaul was the first hospital west of the Mississippi River and remains the oldest continuously existing business in St. Louis. Today SSM DePaul offers the only Level II Trauma Center in North St. Louis County and serves patients from across the St. Louis metropolitan area. SSM DePaul offers a wide range of comprehensive medical care. Betty Jean Kerr’s People’s Health Centers

BettyJeanKerrPeople’s Health Centers, through its mission, provides comprehensive primary healthcare, such as pediatrics, internal medicine, ob/gyn, dental, mammaography, behavioral health, pharmacy, wic, podiatry, and laboratory services, to meet the health needs of the entire community. The Betty Jean Kerr People’s Health Centers (PHC) provides quality health care and social services to thousands of uninsured and medically underserved people in the St. Louis Community. PHC also offers client centered cluster visits, community health education, nursing, mobile van outreach, school linked services and prevention health services.




Northwest Healthcare

Northwest HealthCare, located 6 miles west of Christian Hospital on Graham Road in Florissant, offers our community 24-hour emergency care and a variety of outpatient services and physician practices in a convenient, spa-like setting. In 2011, they doubled their emergency room capacity and now offer 28 private treatment rooms. Their lobby is designed to be a comfortable waiting spot, with an art gallery featuring works of local artists, a coffee kiosk and a lounge area with internet access



VA St. Louis Community Based Outreach Center

VAMCThe CBOC in Florissant is the local affiliate of the St. Louis VAMC which is a full-service health care facility providing inpatient and ambulatory care in medicine, surgery, psychiatry, neurology, and rehabilitation, as well as over 65 subspecialty areas. It is a two-division facility that serves veterans and their families in east central Missouri and southwestern Illinois. The John Cochran Division, named after the late Missouri congressman, is located in midtown St. Louis and has all of the medical center’s operative surgical capabilities, the ambulatory care unit, and a six-story Clinical Addition that includes surgical facilities, intensive care units, outpatient psychiatry clinics, and expanded laboratory.
