Small office seeking Administrative Office Assistant.  Job requires 3+ years of office administrative, executive assistant or related experience, college education preferred, own transportation needed, available M-F, days, professional business attire is required at all times. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and PROFICIENT at Outlook, Word and Excel applications, Access D-Base, Power Point and Publisher a plus.  Some basic accounting experience helpful and Quick Book experience preferred.  Excellent writing, grammar, problem solving and multi-tasking skills are required. Full-time position. Salary starts at $11.00 per hour.

Job Description

Admin. Assistant will assist the President with all daily office operations including but not limited to: answering phones, managing data bases, electronic and non-electronic filing systems, account payables and receivables, and other QuickBook functions, assist with membership, fundraising, and event correspondence and invoicing, business correspondence and mailings, scheduling of meetings, maintaining President schedule and other clerical duties, order and track office supplies, and cleaning office. Learn and utilize new technologies and office products necessary for efficient office management.  Assist with newsletter, e-Newsletter, press releases, all membership correspondence, event planning and other tasks deemed appropriate by President.  Professional business attire is required at all times.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds, have reliable transportation and be insured.

Software knowledge needed:  Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Publisher, Google Docs, QuickBooks, Access Database

Job Listing and Description for Membership and Event Coordinator

Person reports to President/CEO

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field and 3 plus years of experience in event planning and membership development is required. Proficient writer with marketing, communication, public relation background is needed.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Power Point, Word, Access, and Publisher.
Prefer someone proficient in other desktop publishing software, such as InDesign. Must be a fast learner and reliable, able to work with general supervision and complete projects on schedule, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be an organized and efficient problem solver. Must be extremely detailed and excel at multi-tasking.

Person will be responsible for planning and implementation of membership retention and expansion, all organizations events, marketing and public relations initiatives, and daily office operations as deemed necessary by President.

When necessary, the person in this position may be called upon to provide assistance with daily office operations including, but not limited to: managing database and electronic and non-electronic filing systems, business correspondence, account payables and receivables, membership and event invoicing, and other QuickBook functions, coordination and scheduling of meetings, answering phones, troubleshoot basic computer and network problems, and other clerical and cleaning tasks. Must be willing to learn and utilize new technologies and office products necessary for efficient office operation.

    events/functions/public appearances for North County Inc. as assigned by the President/CEO
  • Fosters relationships with potential/existing members of North County Inc.
  • Recruit new members
  • Develop and implement communication strategy for strong membership retention program
  • Maintain data for outreach with potential/existing members

Assist with Development and Implementation of Events and Marketing Strategies

  • Plan and execute events
  • Conduct research, plan, and implement social media strategies to support the growth of North County Inc.
  • Produce newsletters, eNewsletters, websites, advertisements, brochures, press releases, videos
    and other promotional items needed to market North County and all NCI initiatives.
  • Create press kits and contact local media regarding events.
  • Coordinate publications plan, maintaining production timelines for publications, working with outside vendors.
  • Obtain testimonials for print and electronic media
  • Maintain cost data for project scheduling, budgeting, and billing.
