Ameren Missouri understands the critical role that natural gas and electricity play in our customers’ daily lives. As a 24/7/365 business and provider of an essential product to our customers, we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 coronavirus situation. We know there is a significant impact occurring to people in the communities we serve through the closure or reduced hours of businesses such as restaurants, theaters, daycare facilities, and retail stores.
If you’re a small business owner with 50 or fewer employees and are having trouble paying your energy bill, now is the time to apply for energy assistance through Ameren Missouri’s new COVID-19 Small Business Relief Program.
Starting July 6, 2020, our new program will provide $500,000 in energy assistance to eligible small business or non-profit 501(c)(3) customers with 50 or fewer employees.
Eligible applicants must be:
- Registered with the Missouri Secretary of State.
- Locally owned and non-franchised in Missouri.
- An active Ameren Missouri gas or electric customer for the past six months.
- Experiencing financial hardships due to COVID-19.
Customers who meet those requirements can offer a brief explanation of their hardship when they apply online at AmerenMissouri.com/SmallBusinessRelief. Once approved, eligible customers will receive a credit of $250 toward their account balance.
