Recently, North County Incorporated hosted an East-West Gateway Council of Governments forum to bring several of our community and civic leaders together for a public involvement focus group discussion to ensure quality engagement and interaction with all of the citizens in the St. Louis metropolitan area. We appreciate these leaders’ participation at this meeting: Mark Behlmann, Chancellor Tom George, Councilman Dwayne James, Councilman Tim Lee, Carolyn Marty, Karen Pierre, Mayor Tom Schneider, John Shaw, Fletcher Wells, and Don Zykan. East-West Gateway will be taking the ideas that were presented back to their leadership for evaluation. If you would like to provide your thoughts on how East-West Gateway please click here. I encourage you to take a couple minutes and participate in this opportunity to help this regional organization better understand the best way to communicate with North County.
The Missouri Department of Transportation, another regional organization that NCI works closely with is requesting your opinion on their “A Vision for Missouri’s Transportation Future” long-range plan. Based on input MoDOT received from Missourians across the State they developed four main goals: take care of the current transportation system, keep travelers safe, invest in projects that spur economic growth and create jobs, and give Missourians better transportation choices. Please take a look at the complete plan and provide MoDOT with your thoughts at onthemove@modot.mo.gov.
