Absentee Voting for April General Municipal Election

The general municipal election is April 2, 2024. Municipal elections are for electing city and county officials, and local propositions. Absentee voting is now available at six additional satellite sites beginning March 21 and during the two weekends before Election Day, Saturday, March 23, and Saturday, March 30. Click here to learn more information about absentee voting and how to vote.

Affinia Healthcare adds Midwifery Care 
In 2023, Affinia Healthcare launched a campaign encouraging the state legislature to extend Medicaid coverage for new mothers from three months to a year postpartum. The legislature voted to extend coverage up to a year postpartum for new mothers.

Youth In Need and Early Childhood Education
It was announced that Youth In Need and University City Children’s Center (UCCC) are combining early childhood education services. UCCC will continue serving children from across St. Louis and Youth In Need will offer increased support for UCCC families and staff.

Saint Louis Community College Receives Major Grant
St. Louis Community College was awarded a grant for more than $1.75 million in funding by the U.S. Department of Labor and the state of Missouri. The funds will help the college get its geospatial technology program started. Find out more information about the program using this link.


JFK Community Center Grand Opening 
The grand opening of the newly renovated JFK community center will take place on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from noon to 7 pm. at 315 Howdershell Rd. Join the City of Florissant to explore the community center, win prizes, and enjoy complimentary food items. 

RX Outreach Ribbon Cutting 
RX Outreach one of the country’s largest nonprofit digital pharmacies, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 28, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at 10208 West Florissant Ave. The organization is commemorating the opening of its first community pharmacy through a partnership with the Assisted Recovery Center of America (ARCA).

Shred Day! Drive, Drop, and Donate Event – Open to the Public
Steve Robbins, CFP Wealth Management, is hosting a shred day event on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 pm. Located in Steve Robbins’ Office Parking Lot – 325 Rue St. Francois, Florissant MO. The shred truck will arrive at noon sharp to box and pack all documents and depart at exactly 1:30 pm. You can drop off your documents and canned items throughout the morning if you can’t make it at noon.
