In celebration of their 20th Anniversary, Challenger Learning Center received a check from Boeing for $70,000. Challenger Learning Center has served over 250,000 participants since its opening. Congrats to them on 20 successful years and the great, hands-on STEM learning opportunity they offer our young scholars. Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis invites you to their 20th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, November 18, 10 am-2 pm at the STEAM Academy at McCluer South-Berkeley High School. Explore fun hands-on activities with our STEM partners, take a trip to outer space on a Mini Space Mission, build & launch rockets, and enjoy fun for the whole family, plus food will be provided! This event is FREE to attend!


Clayco is investing nearly $50 million to acquire and renovate a building that was part of Express Scripts headquarters in the City of Berkeley. The construction and development company plans to consolidate its 550-person St. Louis-area workforce into the new offices next year and add another 400 jobs over the next several years. PRESS RELEASE


The Long-Acting Injections (LAI) clinic at SSM Health DePaul Hospital – St. Louis is the recipient of the prestigious Missouri Hospital Association’s (MHA) Aim for Excellence Award. The LAI clinic provides stability for a vulnerable population of mental health patients requiring medication. University of Missouri–St. Louis Chancellor Kristin Sobolik has been named the chair of the board of directors for the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities. Sobolik was elected to the post after winning a unanimous vote of presidents and chancellors representing more than 120 member institutions. PRESS RELEASE

St. Louis Economic Development Partnership

The St. Louis Economic Development Partnership will hire a planning firm to help it identify large-scale sites in Kinloch for redevelopment. The partnership’s board of directors approved the $65,000 contract with PGAV on Wednesday with the goal of bringing warehouse development — and new jobs — to Kinloch while also eliminating dumping sites that have plagued the city and other north St. Louis County municipalities for years. PRESS RELEASE

This holiday season, escape to a wild wonderland with brand-new twinkling light displays and festive family fun at U.S. Bank Wild Lights at the Saint Louis Zoo! Tickets for ages 2 and up are required and must be purchased in advance. Free admission for children under age 2. High demand is expected and popular dates may sell out quickly. Proceeds from the event help the Zoo provide the highest quality care for its animals.



St. Louis County Department of Transportation and Public Works and the Department of Parks and Recreation will host a job fair Tuesday, November 14, at District 2 Garage, 11201 Schaefer Drive, Maryland Heights, from 10 am-2 pm, as they seek to fill open positions across various divisions. St. Louis County is looking to fill maintenance driver positions, code enforcement inspectors, automotive technicians, building systems and structural mechanics, and construction project managers. Attendees will have the chance to apply in person and participate in on-the-spot interviews. More information on current job openings can be found here.

East-West Gateway’s 58th Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from noon until 1:30 p.m. at America’s Center in downtown St. Louis. The 3rd Annual Miracle on St. Francois Street will be Saturday, November 25 in Historic Old Town Florissant from noon – 6:30 pm. Activities include a Jingle Run, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, caroling, free trolley rides, live music, and more!

Each year on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, the City of  Ferguson welcomes in the holiday season with a Christmas Market Under the Stars that includes a variety of gift and food vendors, live holiday music, and lots of family activities and entertainment. A lighted holiday parade adds to the festivities as it strolls past the market around 5:00 pm.

Pallottine Retreat & Conference Center is now booking holiday luncheons for your board, office, group, or team. The holiday package includes meeting space, lunch, and time away to celebrate each other and the upcoming holidays. Reservations are available for December 4-15.
